Welcome,

Corinthian is an active lodge with many members of various ages. It is a lodge in transition, and is in fact presently seeing the “newer “and younger masons take over the work, under the watchful eye of the Past Masters. It’s refreshing to see the newly made Master Masons' keen interest in the Craft, and the enthusiasm with which they perform the ritual.

Some of our more senior brethren can now take a welcome break and are looking forward to passing on their Masonic knowledge and assisting in maintaining the quality of work enjoyed by the our lodge.

This year we will reintroduce the Past Master’s night in September, present a full memorial service in November, and will be honoured to receive the D.D.G.M. in January 2009 by hosting a “Rabbie Burns Night” with a haggis dinner before the meeting. Going into the next Masonic next year we have candidates to initiate, pass, raise and prove, along with Masonic education.

Our lodge has a history of placing social functions high on the trestle board, and this year will be no exception. I have already spoken with some of our sister lodges as co-hosts in this regard, and have had positive feedback.

I am looking forward to an exciting year and welcome all who are able to join us in lodge.

Sincerely and fraternally,

Ken Butters PGO
